How to find the perfect paint
Here's the common complaint:
"I loved the color when I saw it in the store, but I hated it once it was on my walls."
How many times have you heard this story? Have you experienced
it yourself? I bet you can think of someone who has.
Take a look at this picture.
Now compare it to this one.
These two colors are very similar to each other, but create completely
different moods in the room. This is very hard to visualize when looking at a
little strip of color you picked up at the store.
Now compare to this one.
You get the idea. It's not that easy to tell what a paint will look
like once applied to a whole room.
Unless you're going to give up and paint everything white, you
need some help.
Now you can pick the perfect paint
My new program is called PaintFinder. This is a software program
designed to overcome the problems of visualizing what a given paint
is going to look like.
PaintFinder lets you choose paints from the major paint manufacturers in
the US. You can select any or all of the manufacturers paints, and
you can compare the offerings right on the screen.
You get to play around with different combinations of paint and trim
and you can see what they look like together, right on screen, before
ever going to the store. This makes the job of selecting the right paint
very easy.
This simple program takes the guesswork out of choosing the right color
for your basement.
But my basement is dark - How do I know what the paint color will look like?
Basement colors are a somewhat tricky thing. That's because they tend
to receive little natural light. Many basements are lit only by artificial light.
Where there are windows in the basement, they create dark and light areas, making it
hard to predict what the painted wall is going to look like.
The program includes a selection of photos, all of them from basements, and
with varying degrees of light and dark. You can switch between photos, some dark, some
light, and see what a paint is going to look like in the different lighting situations.
This paint ("Neutral Brown", by Ralph Lauren) looks much lighter in the first photo
than it does in the following one. This is due to the different lighting conditions. In the second photo it doesn't even look
like it's the same paint. But it is.
PaintFinder allows you to predict these situations and judge the color
accordingly. This can help you avoid any nasty surprises.
Match your wife's eye color and watch her glow
PaintFinder also includes a little extra feature. It allows you to select any
color from anywhere on your screen. This means you can take a picture of
your wife's eyes, open it on your computer, and match the exact color in
the image.
This goes beyond your wife's eyes. You can match her favorite shoes,
your barbecue grill, your corvette, the dog's tail, whatever floats your boat.
Anything you can get a digital image of on your computer - you can find
the perfect paint to match it.

So order now. As long as you are running Windows, you can download
the program immediately and start choosing the perfect color for your project right away.
