"We are just finishing up our basement renovation. It turned out really awesome! A lot of that is due to your web site and suggestions. I purchased the 3D Home Architect software and designed the whole thing, and it turned out just like my plans. I also borrowed a couple of ideas from your "Exploring the underground frontier" packet (such as utilizing the under-the -stair space for extra storage). I also was careful to plan for adequate lighting...I think I actually overdid it, with 18 recessed cans plus 3 overhead fixtures, many on dimmers, and that doesn't count the utility room. My contractor was sick of lights by the time he finished!
